When there are riots and rallies and so much more going around the world, somewhere someone on this planet is not really bothered or perhaps giving more attention to colors, lines and design balance. So, here I am, sharing my well balanced artwork using red and black OVER white. I am sure many can get the concept behind it.
But in case you don't, you can always ask me. I'll give you that divine knowledge of the reality that it is. In more simpler words, Red and Black is rad! (RnBiR)
The red and black bold lines are made to portray the only thing, that they stand out regardless of how much white space there is. Worry was to make sure they are balanced and gives a sense of speed and power.
The wonderful thing to see is the flow of the lines. Even when the curtains are collapsed they seem to be going upwards. (well you may as well say downwards) and they look like stairs with those RnBiR curtain curls.
Let me know if you want to have a different set of colors in the same, I'll work on their balance. If it was not red but green, it wouldn't look as balanced as this, black lines would have to move accordingly.
Just see how it looks on a red n black is rad rectangular pillow case. As if it's a soft candy ready to put your head to rest.
To a lay man's eye, these may seem like random lines with different weightage, but in reality there's lot of back and forth and thought process of design behind each line and why it is red or black, giving enough white space to breath.
For example, this Red n Black is Rad Notebook, it's simply perfect, there's enough space for you to write your name and other things along with red and black lines.
RnBiR is there on many other merchandise on Society6 like pouches, carry bags, mobile phone covers, throw pillow, shower curtains, bath mats, and much more.
There are many other designs I had made before on my Society6 profile. Do check them out or buy if you like them and let me know what you think of my designs.
Basics design principles must be understood before preparing a set of layouts, although only a few considerations are suitable for the designer for use in preparing a graphic two-dimensional layout. Nine of the most important considerations reviewed in simple illustrations here are, 1 Balance, 2 Alignment, 3 Emphasis, 4 Proportion, 5 Movement, 6 Pattern, 7 Contrast, 8 Unity and 9 Perspective. We can name Design Principles in many ways and with variety of examples, and I shall continue to write more to help out those who are looking forward to a future with design. Just get your principles of design right.
These simple illustrations were made using Adobe Illustrator, and you may as well use Adobe Comp CC, yet there are many other software.
Like many, the dream of going in space has always been a part of the real world, even though we’ve never been to Mars or never dived beneath the icy crust of Jupiter’s moon Europa, strolled beneath the twin suns of Kepler 16b or watched the acrid clouds of Venus float past and never have we ever skydived under the heavy gravity of the Pictor constellation’s HD 40307 g or sailed across the icy methane seas of Titan. But these retro-style space travel posters from the design studio at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Labs are fine consolation prizes until the time we actually do.
The posters are a continuation of the Exoplanet Travel Bureau poster series first created by JPL’s design studio last year. For past 13 years this studio has helped JPL’s scientists and engineers plan out future missions, which means they’re almost always aware of the latest and greatest ideas being bandied about projects in lab. When NASA came to them asking for additional posters in the series, they were able to integrate many ideas the agency had already been spit-balling for the future—such as floating cities hovering above Venus.
NASA’s faux travel agency is, obviously, a tad grandiose in their claims. Mankind won’t set foot on another planet for at least another decade, and even that’s optimistic. Zipping off 42 light-years for some super-Earth skydiving will probably remain science fiction forever. But anything that keeps the public aware of the grandeur of space exploration is cool with us.
All the free 14 posters are available as free downloads at JPL’s website.
You may download PDFs directly from these thumbnails, Tiff files from their site.
